About Jenn

This is Jenn

Jennifer (please call her Jenn) has been in the non-profit sector since 2004 when she began volunteering for a national tennis event benefiting Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She continued her non-profit work as a volunteer coordinator and event fundraiser until she finally realized that the medical field was not longer her passion; she wanted to become a full-time fundraiser. In 2009, Jenn decided to follow a non-traditional path to obtaining her Certificate in Fund Raising Management, Certificate in Fund Raising Leadership, and becoming a Certified Fund Raising Executive.

As she continues to achieve her professional goals, her hopes of this blog is to help others by sharing her experiences, stories, struggles, and resources she encounters along the way.

Outside of fund raising world, Jenn is a wife, mother, grandmother, dog mom, friend, and a little on the nerdy side. She enjoys camping, reading, attending live music and sports events, and a good game of steel-tipped darts.
